Re: Beta version of Courses @ Wellesley
———————————————–
The Registrar’s Office, in collaboration with Library and Technology Services (formerly, IS), is happy to announce a test (or beta version) of Courses @ Wellesley, where we present schedule and course information combined together in a more interactive fashion: http://courses.wellesley.edu. Though we have tested this as much as we can, it is likely to have bugs and possibly some incorrect information since it is a new tool, which is why we are referring to it as a beta version.
Note: this tool is not yet meant for Fall registration since it is still being tested.
The beta version that we are releasing for your review includes only courses from the current (Spring 2011) semester. We are hoping that a review will allow us to release it later with Fall information. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the fall schedule and the 2011-12 curriculum as they are finalized.
To view this new interactive approach to searching courses, click on the link above. You can select courses by semester (Spring 2011 is currently the only available semester) and department, then sort them by any of the columns (click on the column header). This information is from Banner Self Service (and reflects real time data). Click “more info” for the course description and catalog details. Course description information is fed from the online catalog PDFs on our website.
We would love to improve this new feature — please send your feedback to courses-browser@wellesley.edu.
