We are extremely pleased to announce that effective today, we have fully automated the processing of electronic transcript requests so current students and alumnae from Class of 1996 – 2015 can receive an electronic transcript within 1 day through a link in MyWellesley. The requestor is kept informed of each step of the process by email and a digitally-signed electronic transcript is emailed to the requested email addresses within 24 hours. In most cases, the transcript will arrive within 2 hours.
Alumnae from the Classes of 1995 and earlier will benefit from the electronic request, credit card payment, and service status email features, but their transcripts will be sent as paper documents. Expedited delivery can be requested for an additional charge.
The transcript request at Wellesley was a paper form requiring payment by check or cash, typically taking 3-5 business days to process a paper transcript. In April 2015, we moved to an electronic request process and began accepting credit card payments for all transcript services. While this introduced efficiencies in ordering copies of official transcripts, the Registrar’s Office still processed these requests manually. This new process has fully automated the delivery of electronic transcripts for Class of 1996 onwards.
