We will be upgrading our classroom computers (Macs and PCs) to Office 2016 over Wintersession. Earlier Office documents should be compatible with this version, and should open without a problem. (We have not tested documents with custom macros at this time. Please contact us with any concerns.)
If you would like to test your documents, or see the new versions before the end of this year, 4 test stations will be available beginning on November 20th in the following locations, and will be clearly marked with a sign:
- Clapp Library – 131 Computer Classroom – Macintosh
- Clapp Library – Knapp Media & Technology Center – Windows PC
- Pendleton East – Well Printing Room – Windows PC
- Science Library Classroom – Windows PC
Faculty can upgrade their desktop/laptop computer to Office 2016 by contacting the Help Desk at x3333. We are able to install Office 2016 without affecting the rest of the software and files on your computer.
If you have any questions, please contact Erin Richardson, LTS, x2867.
