If you plan to make any technology purchases before the end of fiscal year 2018, we ask that you please send in the request for purchases to LTS no later than May 11, 2018. LTS staff need time to review, order, receive, and process your orders during the busy end of the year period. Although we will do our best to process requests received after the deadline, we cannot guarantee that they will be processed in time for the end of the fiscal year.
We strongly encourage you to go through LTS for all technology purchases for several reasons. The first is all purchases through LTS will be exempt from sales tax, while if you directly purchase such items, you will have to pay taxes and the College will reimburse only $5 of sales tax per receipt. Secondly, when LTS staff review purchases, they will be able to advise you on whether the hardware you are ordering is consistent with something that we will be able to support or for software, if we already have a license.
