Zoom has released a few new features this summer. We strongly encourage you to update to the latest version available for your device at your earliest convenience. At a minimum, everyone should be using at least version 5.7 going forward.
Pronouns
Beginning with version 5.7, you can share your pronouns in Zoom meetings always or selectively in each meeting. Add your pronouns in your Zoom profile first and choose the appropriate setting.
Screen share to breakout rooms
A meeting host can now share their screen (such as a PowerPoint or Google Slide, document, etc. with resources or instructions) with all participants in Breakout Rooms. The host’s video and audio are not seen or heard in the Breakout Rooms (participants only see the host’s shared screen).
Zoom Phone spam prevention
Zoom Phone now has improved SPAM detection. You will see “Maybe Spam” for caller IDs that Zoom identifies as suspicious.
