New Look and Feel for Google Groups
Beginning on September 15th, 2020, Google Groups will be updated with a new look and feel. You will have the option to use the old look and feel by clicking Settings > Return to classic Google Groups until October 15th, 2020. After that date, the old format will no longer be available. A comparison of the features in old Groups that are also in new Groups is available here. A few highlights:
- Streamlined group creation—A three-step wizard will simplify group creation.
- Powerful search options—New filtering and search options will help you find content.
- Enhanced member management—The updated Members page will provide quick access to group member subscriptions and permissions.
Automatic File Deletion in Google Drive Trash
Starting October 13, 2020, any Google Drive file that you put into My Drive Trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Any files already in your My Drive Trash will remain there for 30 days before automatic deletion. Files in Shared Drives Trash are already automatically deleted after 30 days.
